PEER is a South Australian not for profit organisation that operates both a Group Training Organisation (GTO) and an acclaimed Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Our mission is to address Australia’s skills development through tailored attraction, training and employment of quality people in partnership with industry. This is achieved by partnering with industry stakeholders, to build trade careers through high-quality traineeships, apprenticeships, employment, and training.
Within PEER’s GTO, we proudly stand as the largest employer of apprentices in the Building and Construction and Defence industry in South Australia, with over 500 apprentices and trainees. Our commitment to diversity extends to actively encouraging and supporting minority groups, with a particular focus on promoting female and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in non-traditional trades. We advocate for accessible pathways leading to quality trade careers for individuals.
Products and Services
Under the PEER RTO, we offer a comprehensive range of training programs, including pre-apprenticeship training, Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools, apprenticeship training, upskilling short courses, and skills recognition training, covering key industry areas such as: Electrotechnology (Electrician), Plumbing, Refrigeration & air-conditioning, Construction and Engineering.
PEER’s GTO currently employs apprentices and trainees within the following vocational areas; Information Technology, Engineering (Mechanical, Fabrication and Electrical), Plumbing, Gas Fitter and Roof Plumbing, Electrical, Data and Voice Communications, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Electronics and Communications, Instrumentation and Control, Defence Industry Pathways Program and Shipbuilding Employment Program.
