Australia’s $2.5 billion short-range air defence missile system program LAND 19 Phase 7B is currently under way at the new Centre for Joint Integration Centre at Mawson Lakes.
Construction of the facility created around 200 jobs over the facility’s 18-month build and has since created a further 300 positions assembling and maintaining the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System and a host of other related defence projects.
The LAND 19 Phase 7B program will deliver the Army-operated component of the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defence (JIAMD) capability. The project scope includes acquisition of new capability elements including radars, missile launchers and command & control systems, as well as integration with existing Army vehicles and radios.
