Aurizn Group acquisition to expand defence capabilities
25 November 2024
South Australian defence technology specialist Aurizn Group has strengthened its position as a premier Tier 2 defence technology company, announcing the acquisition of Pacific Aerospace Consulting (PAC) Australia.
The strategic acquisition brings Aurizn’s workforce to over 300 highly skilled professionals and will enhance its service offering to meet growing demands in the defence sector.
Aurizn Group CEO Brett Sangster described the partnership as a key milestone in the company’s ambitious growth strategy.
“Aurizn has always had a strong vision for growth in the defence sector, filling the space between the primes and the smaller but often highly capable end of the market,” Mr Sangster said.
“We are excited about how PAC’s operational expertise in Defence & Aerospace will enable new innovations in Aurizn’s market-leading simulation and training services.
“We’re confident that our ‘build and grow’ strategy equips us with the necessary technology expertise, financial strength, and agility to capitalise on cutting-edge solutions,” Mr Sangster added.
With over two decades of experience, Aurizn is a leader in delivering next-generation technology solutions across defence, critical infrastructure, and STEM industries.
PAC Australia, renowned for its expertise in aerospace and operational services, brings significant capabilities in systems integration, certification, mission planning, simulation, tactical data links, and specialist operational solutions.
PAC Australia CEO and co-founder Eric Rambow, who will join Aurizn’s leadership as an Executive Director, said the agreement was driven by the opportunity to deliver greater solutions in the defence and aerospace sectors.
“Together, the companies provide a significant uplift in sovereign Australian capability while leveraging coalition knowledge needed in the current threat environment,” Mr Rambow said.
This acquisition follows Aurizn’s purchase earlier this year of McR Defence as part of its vision for growth. The company is also in discussions to integrate PAC’s U.S. operations, further extending its global reach.
