AML3D US footprint grows with new partnership
27 April 2023
South Australian-based advanced manufacturer AML3D has signed a major value-added reseller agreement for their ARCEMY® large-scale metal 3D printer with leading United States manufacturing and sales partner, Phillips Corporation.
The partnership will see AML3D gain immediate access to the US defence market, with Phillips Corporation set to focus on exclusively selling the systems into the US Federal Government, including their Navy, Air Force and Army.
The Phillips team will be trained and upskilled to enable frontline service and support in the US alongside the existing AML3D team.
AML3D CEO, Ryan Millar, said he was excited by the partnership, particularly against the backdrop of the recent AUKUS announcement.
“Phillips is the perfect partner to help rapidly scale up ARCEMY® system sales through their federal sales division across the United States Federal Government, including all branches of the US Defence forces,” said Mr Millar.
“Phillips’ deeply entrenched relationships as a long-standing and trusted partner and supplier of manufacturing solutions will allow AML3D immediate access to the US defence sector at scale.
“This is an incredible opportunity to expand our reach and sales presence through a dual-track strategy comprising our direct sales team and our partner Phillips’ federal sales team.”
Chairman and CEO of Phillips Corporation, Alan Phillips, said the organisation is pleased to join forces with AML3D.
“Their unique technology and capability add outstanding dimensions to our strong portfolio of additive manufacturing solutions supporting Phillips Federal’s customers throughout the USA’s Defence Industrial Base,” said Mr Phillips.
“AML3D’s product line-up is an optimal fit for customers seeking to enter or expand upon their additive manufacturing capability.
“We are pleased to be collaborating with AML3D and together being vital contributors to the global additive manufacturing revolution.”
The initial term of the agreement is 18 months.
