More jobs and manufacturing capabilities are coming to Mawson Lakes, following a major defence company’s investment into a new purpose-built facility in Technology Park.
Kongsberg Defence Australia will construct the 2500sqm facility, which will be home to hardware manufacturing and assembly, along with maintenance, and software development to assist in the delivery of defence acquisition programs.
Construction of the new facility is expected to commence in January 2023, generating more South Australian jobs, with plans for the facility to be fully occupied and operational by early 2024.
Kongsberg Defence Australia is a local subsidiary of the Norwegian based global technology company, Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace.
The company supports the local manufacturing, assembly, integration and test of the C4 system for the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) capability, which is currently under production for the Australian Army through Raytheon Australia.
